Tour – European Solidarity Centre and a Walk Through Gdańsk
The European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk is a modern museum and cultural institution that commemorates the history of the Solidarity movement and its role in the democratic transformations of Central and Eastern Europe.
The main exhibition covers nearly 3,000 square metres and features over 1,800 artefacts, including Anna Walentynowicz’s crane and Jacek Kuroń’s desk, integrated with modern multimedia technologies.
The ECS building, designed to resemble a ship’s hull, is situated next to Gate No. 2 of the Gdańsk Shipyard. It also serves as a venue for meetings, debates, and cultural events such as concerts and educational workshops.
