This year’s Joint Meeting will take place at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University. The new building of the Faculty of Chemistry was opened in 2017 and is the most modern and technologically advanced facility of the Jagiellonian University. The Faculty is located within the Third Campus of the University, alongside other buildings of the faculties of exact and natural sciences, as well as the SOLARIS synchrotron centre.

The entire campus is a unique complex in Poland, featuring interesting architecture, sports facilities (including a football field, tennis courts, running tracks, basketball courts, and a sports hall planned in the near future), as well as the Centre for Nature Education. Construction of the first student dormitory on the campus is currently underway.

A short walk will take you to the Zakrzówek Landscape Park, where you can find a modern bathing area in a former limestone quarry, often referred to as the “Kraków Maldives.” A tram ride from the campus to Kraków’s Old Town takes only about 20 minutes.
