DESCRIPTION:ESUO welcomes you to ESUO General Assembly The European Synch
 rotron and Free Electron Laser User Organisation (ESUO) will have its 22nd
  General Assembly. After welcoming all participants over lunch\, the Gener
 al Assembly will begin at 13:00 with opening remarks from the host institu
 tion Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin/BESSY II and the ESUO President\, addressed 
 to all members and guests. The agenda will then proceed with updates on th
 e organisation and its current projects. A discussion and vote on the amen
 dment of the ESUO statutes will take place just before the coffee break.Fo
 llowing the break\, the election of the new Executive Board members will b
 e held. The focus will then turn to the NEPHEWS project and its impact on 
 the European research landscape\, including its activities in Africa. Repo
 rts on user activities resulting from the NEPHEWS–LINXS collaboration wi
 ll be presented\, along with an overview of the DanScatt funding model and
  its potential applicability in European countries through NEPHEWS with an
  emphasis within NEPHEWS on targeted countries.The second day of the meeti
 ng will start at 08:30 with a discussion on two NEPHEWS partners—ESUO an
 d LEAPS—and their strategic collaboration on education and outreach acti
 vities which can help eliminate knowledge barriers preventing new users pa
 rticipation at lightsource facilities. This will be followed by a session 
 on the Special Interest Group on Business\, Industry\, and Intermediary Co
 mpanies\, as well as presentations from ESUO national delegates providing 
 updates on their community activities. The proposed date for the next meet
 ing will be set at the close of the event.There are opportunities for netw
 orking during the coffee breaks and lunches as well as during the get-toge
 ther dinner at “I due Amici” on the first day of the meeting. All par
